For Gail

It is dark.  I am afraid.  She takes my hand.  Her other hand holds a light. We inch along together.  She will always go ahead of me.  If there is anything scary up ahead, she will encounter it first.  She will find a way.  She always does.  She may lose the light for a little while, but she will never let go of my hand.
