Stunned into Silence

I have a new found admiration for travel blogs. Perhaps because of my “deer in headlights” response to all things new, I can barely remember a time when blogging was a spontaneous reflex to the myriad of ideas popping up around me. Five and a lifetime of days ago, we landed in South Africa. I have never felt so inadequate at description or so disappointed in the ability of a camera to capture what it is like to be here. Maybe when I come home and have time to reflect, I will find my words. But for now, trying to take it all in requires all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

  1. Gwen – hope that you can visit Franschoek(!) & the Boschendal winery (!!) & Robben Island from Cape Town (in this humble globetrotter’s opinion, one of the most beautiful cities IN THE WORLD!) Your pics are awesome! (& don’t forget to ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL WINE : ) VA

  2. Grandma Kc

You are a long way from home! Your pictures are wonderful and I can’t wait to hear the story behind each of them. enjoy!!!!!!!!

  3. Perhaps saying what you said above is all that is needed. It is certainly expressive of what you are seeing/feeling/hearing/doing. It’s enough to make me want to go to Africa.

SAY IT TO ME.........I love your thoughts
